Mobility Matters – Linking Mobility to Quality Outcomes
Resident mobility is more than just a measure of physical ability—it’s a key driver of clinical outcomes and quality performance across skilled nursing facilities. This engaging session will explore how mobility directly influences Quality Measures and impacts overall care outcomes under CMS Quality Programs. Attendees will examine key mobility-related Quality Measures, learn how to leverage CMS reports and data analytics to track performance, and understand how functional changes can trigger a Significant Change in Status (SCSA) assessment. We’ll also review MDS SCSA requirements and highlight critical indicators for monitoring. Practical strategies will be shared to help the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) enhance care planning and drive improved outcomes tied to mobility. Join us to connect the dots between resident mobility and quality excellence in SNF operations.
