With the removal of Section G last year, Section GG now plays a critical role in resident assessments, particularly in the anticipated Discharge Function Score. This hands-on bootcamp will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to properly code Section GG, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Attendees will learn through practical examples and CMS videos, gaining an in-depth understanding of how accurate coding directly impacts the discharge function score measure. Additionally, mastering Section GG coding will lead to improved accuracy in reimbursement for both Medicare and Medicaid payment systems. This session gives attendees a double advantage—better care for residents and a boost in financial performance!

Celtic Consulting; Robin Sweeney, RN, RAC-CT, RAC-CTA, QCP
Robin Sweeney, RN is a Clinical Reimbursement Associate for Celtic Consulting. She brings an acute understanding of clinical reimbursement processes for LTC, clinical and billing documentation, and ADR denial management, developed through fifteen years of experience in specialized reimbursement positions. Further, Robin has deep subject matter expertise in effective clinical care management and clinical knowledge of LTC regulations, with positions held as a Director of Nursing and obtaining a legal nurse consulting certificate (LNC).
As Director of Clinical reimbursement for two multi-state operators, Robin collectively provided oversight for over seventy skilled nursing facilities. She successfully led transition and implementation of the PDPM system, guided corporate Interdisciplinary meetings, and championed denial management and triple check processes.
Robin’s works collaboratively with her clients; applying her expertise and solution-oriented approach, to improving resident and client satisfaction, and drive overall operational improvements. Robin holds advanced certifications in Resident Assessment Coordinator processes (RAC-CT, RAC-CTA), and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QCP).
